Soon, it became clear to the Elder Gods that Kronika had to be stopped in order for their vision of the realms to come true. But, due to mortals following the purposes and paths bestowed upon them by the Elder Gods instead of her desired balance and the Titans, her frustrations grew and her sanity faded.
As the war raged on, Kronika had already started to create the timeline of the realms in her image. The three core warriors representing Good and Evil (Liu Kang and Raiden representing Good and Shang Tsung representing Evil) are the only beings whose actions foretold by the Elder Gods stands between their virtues and Kronika's evil vision of her desired balance.Įventually, another war broke out, this time between the Titans and the Elder Gods over the fate of the realms. There are also the two subconscious realms: The Dreamrealm and Nightmarerealm.Īt some point after this, the Titans and the Elder Gods disputed over how life should evolve and how to keep the realms in balance and to prevent the One Being's return. Eventually the Titans and the Elder Gods set their differences between them aside and launched their attack on the One Being to save themselves. The One Being gained his power by draining it from the Elder Gods and consuming them in the process.
